Course Description
Cloud computing is a rapidly growing technology that is a crucial part of effective system administration and hosting. It allows enterprises to save a lot of time and money through simplified maintenance. SFT 311 teaches System administrators to use the Virtualization and Cloud features of Linux. In this course, students gain the skills to effectively select and deploy the appropriate Virtualization or Cloud Technology to run, manage and migrate servers. The course will help students to grasp the basics of cloud computing and understand the terminology, tools and technologies associated with today’s top cloud platforms. Also, students acquire the skills and knowledge to effectively create, deploy, manage and migrate virtual, private and hybrid cloud infrastructures, virtual machines and cloud application platforms.
Pre-­requisites
A basic knowledge of Linux system administration is preferred. The course is designed
for IT Professionals interested in building a reliable, efficient and open virtualization/cloud infrastructure.
